Dr. Brian Humphrey established PsychSynergy Behavioral Health in 2016, transforming it from a small mental health practice into a premier mental health institution, renowned for its comprehensive range of services, including therapy, medication management, consultation, speaking engagements, educational and clinical training, psychological assessments, and personnel support.
Director, Men’s Health Initiative, Cook County Health
Dr. Brian Humphrey was a driving force behind the Men’s Health Initiative, which targets social determinants of health affecting the holistic wellness of African American men in the Englewood Community. He represented the initiative through public engagements, fostered relationships with key stakeholders, ensured strategic goal alignment. Dr. Humphrey also identified and resolved challenges, provided strategic advice, and supervised staff to achieve optimal performance.

Dr. Brian Humphrey has been instrumental in delivering comprehensive health psychology services and empirically validated brief solution-focused interventions through the Behavioral Health Consultation model. He has provided extensive training, guidance, and consultation to Medical Residents within the Family Medicine Department, and facilitated psychoeducation groups to equip patients with healthy coping resources for managing mental health challenges.
